Christmas is here
You can find a lot of Christmas characters...Image: http://www.inthehoopdesigns.com
But there is a very famous one in the United States, the Grinch. This is a male humanoide creature with bright green fur. He doesn't like Christmas. His dog is Max. You can see a famous movie (The Grinch, 2000).In this link the song and lyrics.
1.- In this activity you can play a game with some of these characters.
2.- The second link is a funny performance with the thumbs of your hand. You can listen to several Christmas songs.
Merry Christmas... and a Happy New Year!
Try different kinds of trees... Choose snow flakes, snow on the branches... Put on baubles (shiny glass bauble for Christmas tree), tinsel, presents, a candle, a star, a bell...
This is called "tic-tac-toe", also spelled "tick tack toe" in the United States.
It's a pencil and paper game for two players.
OXO is most often played by young children like you...

Is Halloween out? Are Saints cool?
Halloween is a word from “all hallow’s even” (evening), that is, the night before All Hallow’s Day (All Saint’s Day, November 1st). Later the spelling “Hallowe’en” was frequently used. Hallow even, without ‘v’, became Halloween.
Halloween has become synonymous with candy, costumes, scary stuff, witches, ghosts and pumpkins. You know those words.
But things are changing… holy “Halloween” is coming back. So, are you going to wear a St Patrick, St Agnes, St Francis of Assisi, St Anthony or St Helen costume?
You can play "Night of light" instead of boring "Halloween"!

Columbus day... October 12.
What's the true story of Christopher Columbus?
I like this one:
In the United States Columbus Day is celebrated this month on the second Monday of October . It commemorates the landing of Columbus in the Bahamas on October 12th, 1492.
